Coaches and Swim Team Committee
My name is Aidan Deege and I'm stoked to be back for my 5th consecutive summer coaching in the NVSL! Outside of coaching in the league, I swam with the Hiddenbrook Hurricanes from age 5 to 17, and then spent years coaching there until the end of last summer. I was able to take my experience swimming there, as well as at Machine Aquatics to aid me in competing at the division 3 level in college. Now, as an MBA graduate and full-time coach with Machine Aquatics, I'm bringing all the energy and passion I've got to this season with the Fair Oaks Sharks! The amazing kids and families at Fair Oaks have together made it possible for me to be your coach this summer, and I can't wait to make this season one to remember!
Kylie started swimming when she was 5 years old and joined the Sharks at 9, eventually joining the Mason Makos. Over her 9 years on the team, she has loved every second of it and looks forward to the season all year long. Kylie has 5 years of experience coaching swim and offers private lessons in her free time. She is currently a senior at Oakton High School with plans to attend Florida State University in the fall. She is excited for the upcoming season and can't wait to get started!
Ryan has been swimming for 10+ years with the Sharks. He is a rising senior at Chantilly High School where he is a member of the swim team. He also has been swimming club with the Mason Makos for many years and his favorite stroke is backstroke. Ryan has loved both swimming and coaching for Fair Oaks and is very excited to be both a coach and a swimmer on this team for another season.
Devon has been swimming since she was 2 years old. She started swimming with her neighborhood in Alexandria and eventually moved on to join the Mason Makos and swim with the Fair Oaks Sharks which she has been a part of since 2013. She now swims for York Swim Club and is on the Oakton High School swim team. She is a breaststroker and a sprinter and is excited to be coaching this year!
Isaac has been swimming for over 10 years. He has swam with Fair Oaks since he was 7. He currently swims for Oakton High School and Fairfax Area Aquatics as a backstroker. He has swum internationally for the American School of The Hague in The Netherlands and for the Uruguayan American School in Uruguay. Ever since Isaac joined Fair Oaks the summer of 2015, he looks forward to the season throughout the year. Isaac is excited to return to the team and can't wait to see what we can accomplish this year!
Faith has been a part of Fair Oaks Sharks for the past seven years. She swims with Machine Aquatics, as well as her high school team. Her favorite event this year is 100 fly and 200 back. Even though this is her first year as a lane coach, she has been teaching private lessons for over two years. She loves working with kids and seeing them have fun in the water. In her free time, she likes to cook, sing and play volleyball. She can't wait to be in the water with all the swimmers this summer.
